|Road Closure||1000 N National Ave||The center and inside southbound lanes of National Avenue at Pythian Street will be closed beginning at 5am Thursday August 11th until approximately 8pm for utillity work.||

|Road Closure||3830 W Mt. Vernon St.||Mt. Vernon Street between Orchard Crest Avenue and Suburban Avenue will close for four months beginning at 8 a.m. Tuesday, July 5 as crews continue construction on the Mt. Vernon Street Widening Project.
Motorists are advised to use alternate routes and watch for the marked detour on Suburban Avenue.
Also beginning July 5, the intersection of Mt. Vernon Street and Orchard Crest Avenue will be converted from a two-way stop to a 4-way stop to increase safety at this intersection. All approaches will be clearly marked to alert drivers of the change.
The Mt. Vernon Street Widening Project involves widening Mt. Vernon to 3 lanes, improving the existing stormwater system, upgrading gas and water lines and constructing sidewalks on both sides of Mt. Vernon. For more information, contact Jonathan Peitz, City of Springfield, at 864-1994.
|Road Closure||900 E Central||Central Street between Clay Avenue and Hampton Avenue will be closed for up to 45 days beginning on Tuesday, July 5th for continuing street, storm sewer and sidewalk improvements in and around the OTC campus area. The intersection of Hampton Avenue and Pythian Street will also be closed starting on the same date for the same time period. Please watch for traffic control as side streets intersecting Central in this area will also be affected. Weather may delay the closure slightly.||
